Acne During Pregnancy?

Along with the joy of finding out you’re pregnant, there can be a few other unwanted side-effects – morning sickness and hormones going haywire. For many, pimples also make an appearance.

It turns out that if you’re coming off birth control after years of use, your skin might be readjusting to new hormonal levels. Several pills decrease testosterone circulation, which has the effect of reducing sebum production while you’re on the pill. Without the pill, however, your sebum levels can increase, leading to clogged pores and resulting breakouts.
